» Beginnings - The Chicago Tribute Band
In the fall of 2002 Beginnings was born out of the love and respect for the music of one of the greatest American rock bands of all time - Chicago. Forged together by eight professional musicians, all veterans of the New York music scene, Beginnings, like Chicago, was a labor of love based on musicianship and professionalism. But a funny thing happened on the way to Carnegie Hall. An eight man collaboration blossomed into a non-stop musical odyssey.
» Chicago Brass Quintet's Holiday Greetings
As Chicagos original brass quintet, these five virtuosi possess the technical and musical mastery needed to perform music of all periods and styles with equal aplomb. The Chicago Brass Quintet brings style, grace, dazzling technique and humor to every performance. "Virtuoso Brass" - the music of Vivaldi, Bach, DeFalla, Ewazen and Copland. "Brass & Gospel" - joined by the Brown Singers Gospel Quintet for an evening of traditional American and gospel music with brass. "Brass & Organ" - the quintet joins forces with organist Paul Vander Weele in works by Stanley, Purcell, Strauss, Widor, Vienre and McCabe. "A Night in London" - featuring music of The Beatles, Manhattan Transfer, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Handel, William Boyce, Gustav Holst and more.
» Dave Bennett
Dave with his All-Star Sextet play Goodman's big hits and "swing-era" classics: Moonglow, I've Got Rhythm, Body and Soul, Slipped Disc, Sing, Sing, Sing and many others. Dave Bennett is a jaw dropping clarinet prodigy who brings to life the music of "The King of Swing" with incredible technique, expression and sensitivity.
» Loren and Mark
Loren Barrigar and Mark Mazengarb share a unique musical chemistry seldom found among musicians. Their live performances feature not only their spectacular technical grasp of the guitar, but also their outstanding musicality and ability to be spontaneously creative. The interaction between the two musicians is as much a feature of their shows as is the world-class guitar playing that they both display.
Loren and Mark's varied repertoire of original and arranged music consists of stunning guitar duets as well as songs, giving them a wide appeal. Their music is influenced by Bluegrass, Jazz and Western; their style of guitar playing is largely built upon the thumb-picking techniques pioneered by guitar greats Merle Travis, Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed, and their songs feature Loren’s superb vocals and some beautiful harmonies from Mark.
In just a short amount of time, MARK209 has garnered the interest of an industry. Tagged the “best group you probably have never heard” by industry leaders, MARK209 has certainly made a mark for themselves. The 2011 National Quartet Convention in Louisville, KY was no exception as they revealed their new name; which is a reference to Mile Marker 209 in Nashville, TN (the location of Music Row … and considered the Heart of Nashville). Audiences respond immediately to the four-part harmony that they are accustomed to in Southern Gospel. However, MARK209’s sound has more of a country grace and their lyrics reflect the life that many live, which allows them to effectively communicate to their audience. MARK209: Nathaniel Justice, Jym Howe, Bryan Hatton, Ray Woconish -- four superbly distinctive and recognizable voices blended together to bring fun, encouragement, inspiration, and an interactive worship experience to all ages.
